Are You the Devil
Strengths
- Understands the subject matter. Knows that the body is not an enemy.
- Sees the chains that others pretend not to see.
- Accepts desire as part of being human.
Shadows
- Becomes attached to what binds it. Pleasure becomes a need.
- Projects responsibility onto the chain—it's not my fault, I can't get out.
- Transforms desire into slavery.
Your birth arcana
Add all the digits of your birth date (dd + mm + yyyy) until you get a number from 1 to 22. If the result is 15, this is your arcana. Even without calculations: if you have chains that others don't see, if you know what it means to desire something that doesn't make you feel good—this arcana belongs to you.
The color · #8B0000
Dark red, like the blood of flesh. The body awakens—desire, appetite, connection to matter. It is not demonic: it is human. Too human. Like the moment you look at the chain and find it almost comforting. If this color attracts you, it's because you are looking at something you are tied to—and you are not sure if you want to free yourself.
What this candle does
- Slavery to self-destructive patterns → Awareness of the chain as the first step to breaking it
- Feeling unable to escape a situation → The reminder that you chose the chain — you can also choose to remove it
- Feeling guilty about desire → Acceptance that desire is human, not an enemy
- Projection of responsibility → Taking ownership of one's bond
After the ritual
The body awakens completely — not with shame, but with awareness. The feeling of seeing the chain for what it is: a choice you can decide to keep or to let go. With full awareness.
The Arcanum in Your Life
Money
The Devil profits from attachment — not from escape. And it is the arcana of working for money, not for passion, and the slavery that follows. Strength is the ability to recognise that money is matter, not sin. The block is the invisible chain: working too much, earning too much, becoming a slave to the system one has created. Abundance comes when one works with matter without being its slave. It dissipates when earning becomes the sole purpose and pleasure becomes work. The task is to remember that matter serves — but it is not everything.
Relationships
It enters as a bond — it can be a relationship that chains, a friendship that enslaves, a family tie that suffocates. It is not necessarily a wrong relationship: it is a relationship to which one is more attached than one would like to admit. The shadow is the excuse — I cannot leave, I cannot let go, I cannot say no. The key lesson: recognising the chain does not mean removing it. It means consciously choosing whether to keep it.
Health
As a resource: healthy sexual energy, body present in matter, balanced appetite, physical strength. Connection with the body is a strength. In overload: addictions of all kinds, sexual hyperactivity or total blockage, eating disorders, body neglected due to guilt or exalted due to vanity. Reactive areas are the endocrine system, sexual organs, liver, skin. It needs movement that creatively releases sexual tension — sports, dance, martial arts. Cumaru Wood ignites desire with awareness. Benzoin makes matter warm and acceptable, not demonic.
The Devil is not the enemy. He is the thermometer of your slavery — which you can always choose to maintain or to abandon.
Olfactory Profile
Top · Coumarin
Opens with a tonka bean note — sweet, warm, almost vanilla-like. Coumarin doesn't excite with force: it excites with sweetness. And the scent of matter that becomes pleasure, not sin.
Heart · Cumin
Enters as an ancient spice — warm, earthy, therapeutic. Cumin doesn't seduce: it nourishes. And the heart of the matter that serves: it is not an enemy, it is home.
Base · Benzoin
Warm, resinous, enveloping. Benzoin is the base of accepting matter — not demonizing it, not worshipping it. Matter is what it is: useful, pleasant, limited. It closes the fragrance with the feeling that the chain, if chosen, can be worn with dignity.
A scent that ignites matter — not denying it, not exalting it. The body remembers what it wants — and decides if it still wants it. The chain is visible. The choice is still yours.
The ritual
Light the candle. Watch the flame. Ask yourself a question: "What am I bound to? Is it a chain or a home?" Don't try to break free — first acknowledge the bond. The key phrase: "I see the chain. I choose it. Or I leave it."
Application
Thin layer all over the body — with movements that reclaim the body as your own, not as an enemy. Focus on these points:
- Sacral area – center of desire and creativity
- Inner thighs – line of connection with matter
- Soles of the feet – root in the earth, in the body
- Palms of the hands – points of grasp, of what is held
